Pia and her
son leave New York
and Los Angeles
behind to rebuild their lives. Their journey takes them to the Flat Iron
Building , an
artists' community in Chicago's
Wicker Park. As they
become part of the community, they meet many artists who become supportive
of them in their hidden crisis. Pia
learns of an important correlation between hidden handicaps and addictive
behavior. In the face of adversity and misunderstanding, they overcome
many obstacles and learn to embrace individuality, turn their conflicts
into successes, and fill the spritual void in an erratic world of isolationists.
